Mary Hanson is a business attorney in Torrance, California (Los Angeles County). Her legal career has been dedicated exclusively to business matters since 1978. She serves business owners by advising them and handling legal matters in a wide range of business issues including relationships between co-owners, purchases and sales of assets, business loans, and decision-making in business matters. Over the years, she has handled many sales of businesses in a broad variety of circumstances.
Her undergraduate degree (B.A.) was earned
at the University of Wisconsin, her doctor of law degree (J.D.) at the University of
Wisconsin Law School, and her masters in business administration (M.B.A.) at the
University of Southern California. Her education also includes a year of undergraduate
study at Otago University in New Zealand, summer courses in law in London, and travel
throughout Europe, the South Pacific, Japan, and Southeast Asia. She spent more than 3
years overseas in the 1970s.
She is admitted to the bar in the states of
Wisconsin, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and California. She is a member of the Los Angeles
County Bar Association, South Bay Bar Association, and Beverly Hills Bar Association.
She publishes The Business Advisor,
a newsletter on issues of interest to business owners. She has presented seminars on
business topics for national trade associations. Business articles by Ms. Hanson have been
published in national business magazines.
Her interests include aviation and World
War II. She has her private pilots license and flies out of Torrance Airport.
